  1. Kittens do get beyond that stage.  A water spray will usually work if you are there to do it.  There is no "punishment" that a kitten can understand.

When my son started to "cruise" about my house I had to choose between saying no 20-30 times a day or removing the items on the coffee table he wanted to explore.  It was much simpler to remove the items than to be constantly "discipling" him for something that was very natural in child behavior.  The same is true for kittens.

Remember too that what you put energy into INCREASES so ignoring is another good way to go.

  2. cats like heights... they like observation... have you got a high table she can sit on?

but everytime she climbs up curtains etc, just take her down everytime, it takes patience, but shell get the message eventually.

  3. try everytime you see her by the plants get a spray bottle with water and spray her and sa NOOO!! after the first squirt or two she will stop, i use that for when my cats scrach at the door to go out and it works...but if u see her eating the plants then she needs some grass, u should pick her some grass so can eat it, the grass helps her digest her food and theres vitamins that they need in the grass or just get her, her own spider plant and let her chew on that.

  4. She will grow out of it...but until then, a cat tree with lots of levels will get her to find something else to play on. Plus, if you pick her up a bunch and give her lots of attention, she will get that need filled as well.

Also try to distract her...when she gets like that, unattach her and place her on the ground, grab a rolling toy (or a loosely  balled up piece of paper) and roll it around. She will forget about the plants for a while.

  5. No, she doesn't need punishment, what she is doing is NORMAL behavior for kittens, they are very playful, they like to climb up things, and they like heights.  Give her cat toys, strings to chase, small balls to chase, (pingpong balls are good).  If you can't tolerate her behavior, just give her to someone who will appreciate and take better care of her.  She deserves a caretaker who understands cat behavior.  Go online to a "cat rescue" group in your city to find her a better home.

  6. Fill a spray bottle with water and spray her when she climbs. Eventually she'll stop.
