I need help importing video from a Sony Mini DV Camcroder?

I'm assuming you are using a fire wire connection for the video transfer. i know from experience that the fire wire cables sometimes just brake for no reason what so ever, it could be that. Or it could be the hardware cause ive had that problem too. If you have a spare cable try it.

Xerferic is right... if you are trying to use the USB cable and port, you won't be successful...

Firewire - IEEE1394a - i.Link... all the same thing. Use the DV port, a firewire cable and connect to the firewire port on your computer - install one if you don't have one.
