  1. Just go for it,

The other people will expect it, its what you have to do.

Call it as soon as you think its coming towards you,

If you hear someone call it, back off but be ready to help them.

If you both call it at the same time, go for it, its better than both of you backing off and letting them score.

And I'm sure the people on the team have ran right into someone before, everyone has! So don't worry !

  2. Think to yourself, "I'm agressive." Volleyball is a sport that takes agressive people. The people you verse, always look at them like they're major enemies. The more agressive the better. Agression powers spikes, serves, and bumps.

    - Work out a bit so you feel like your stronger.

    - Get very serious at practices/games so all your focus is on the ball and you'll get agressive.

  3. to get agressive you need to say that's my ball and nobody else's!!! you always have to think that if the ball is near you that nodbody's going to get it if you don't get you just gave away a point people might think of you as a ball hog but trust me in the end they will thank you. i'm a setter and i take the ball..lol 'cause setter always gets second hit i know that's what i'm there to do....just think if i don't hit then i don't get to play anymore that way you'll want to hit and don't worry about the players beside you unless you just start taking the too much

  4. agressivness is a HUGE part of being a great volleyball player!

i used to not be agressive too, but then just acted like the other girls thought they were better than me and kept stealing the ball so i would look bad.

of course i had to prove them wrong, because i didn't want to be the one who looked bad, i wanted to look the best!

and now i'm the most agressive person on the team.

    good luck.

  5. u just gotta tell urself to go to the ball...for me when i see a ball i just charge after it and try to get it up <imma libero!!!> and if u want to make the team u have to be agressive...its just part of it...good luck...hope u make the team!!! :P

  6. Yell MINE! Louder than them call them off, if you called first & louder, knock them over for the ball. If you called it, it's yours Not anybody else's. I'm an outside hitter & for hitting I am calling OUT OUT OUT while the ball is on it's way to the setters hands. Just call it. Dive for every ball within reach. Do your best

  7. with time those feelings will fade. thats the way i felt when i first started. i suggest going to a summer camp that focuses on nothing for volleyball. thats how i started out and it helped tremendously.
