I need help in Geometry please ..?

The endpoints of two segments are given. Find each segment length. tell whether the segments are congruent ..

1. AB: A (2,6), B (0,3)

CD: C ( -1,0), D (1,3

can someone show me how to do this problem please

For line AB,

(2,6) = (x1,y1)

(0,3) = (x2,y2)

Length = √ (x1-x2)² + (y1-y2)²

Length = √ (2 - 0)² + (6 - 3)²

...............__________

Length = √ (2)² + (3)²

...............______

Length = √ 4 + 9

...............____

Length = √ 13

For line CD,

(-1,0) = (x1,y1)

(1,3) = (x2,y2)

...............________________

Length = √ (x1-x2)² + (y1-y2)²

..............._______________

Length = √ (-1 - 1)² + (0 - 3)²

...............___________

Length = √ (-2)² + (-3)²

...............______

Length = √ 4 + 9

...............____

Length = √ 13

Since their lengths are equal, they are congruent.

Unfortunately my computer skills aren't high enough to type this out for you. all I can do is tell you where to plug the numbers in.

For AB:

X1 = 2      Y1= 6

X2 =  0      Y2= 3

Parentheses 1st      (0-2)= -2    and   (3-6)= -3

exponents                 (-2)^2= 4         (-3)^2=9

add                                   4+9=13

and square root of  (sqrt)13 is the distance of AB

Do the same to CD and then test to see if they are congruent

X1= -1        Y1 = 0

X2= 1          Y2 = 3

  Plug it in the Distance formula

                           1-(-1)= 2   and   3-0=3

                              2^2=4              3^2=9

                 add                   4+9=13

so squrt13 is the length of CD

Since the lengths are the same they are Congruent. How fun!
