  1. hey congrates on making the team....volleyball is awesome!!!!!!!

ok...well just remember to listen to the coaches and dont lose focus on where the ball is....

u have to keep ur head in the game...and always face the ball cuz u never know when the ball will come back and keep ur feet toward the ball....if ur setter get under the ball....

and just remember to have fun...

  2. ok well

wen u wanna spike the ball.. make sure to hit the ball with the bottom of your hand..

wen u go to hit the ball make sure u hit the ball with your forearm..

try to get used to running to get the ball..

and if your in the front row make sure u try to get the ball cause thats where most of the balls drop..

    they try to trick you..

weneva u try to hit the ball so it can go behind you make sure you bring up ur arms all the way to make it go over..

  3. okay

    make sure when you bump:

depending on what position you play. you put your two thhumbs together of course and you point them down. (this opens up your platform for a bump giving y ou a larger surface to work with)

when you hit: make sure your not behind the ball or its gonna go straight up and be a floater over the net which is normally very easy for a passer to get to the setter. make sure that you come from behind the ball. hit underneath it and snap for a roll shot or hit behind it and snap your wrist for a kill. oh and also while doing your approach: make sure on your last step your foot isnt facing forwards, it should be facing side wayss or it will go into the net.

    when you block:

stand right on the net with your arms up put your thumbs together so they make a 'W' with your index fingers. and spread your fingers out. when you jump make sure you dont swing your arms forward or you'll hit the net and the ref will call a net violation and give the other team a point and  the serve.

when you pass: dip your shoulder closest to the settter so you can angle the pass to the setter easily for the setter to set to the hitter and hopefully get a kill.

when you set: (if your a setter) you wanna push the ball with your fingers making a triangle with your thumbs and index fingers. but most of the set comes out of your legs. stand with one foot about a foot in front of the other about shoulder width apart. bend your knees right as your gonna set the ball and push your legs up and right as your arms push the ball up. you can even jump for more umph. :]

    GOODLUCK! hope this helped

  4. u made it!!!!! nice good luck with your first game....Ive never played in an official game but I'm sure giving it all you've got, getting to/under the ball, and being enthusastic will help. you know... you want to make the coaches proud of their decision! you have more than a week until the first game and by then I think you will be ready! overly ready even.
