I need help in purchasing a car.?

I am down to two types. A Pontiac Vibe or a Chevy Cobalt. i know nothing about either car. I have heard there has been problems with the Cobalt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Try using Consumer Reports. You can either order their magazine or make an account on their website. Either way, they give you great advise on every car - ratings, quality, etc. You'll love it.


  2. Pontiac Vibe

    is the mechanical twin to the Toyota matrix

    it's basically a Toyota corolla with a hatchback.

    it's a very good car and can often be bought for much less money than it's Toyota sibling due to the Pontiac name not being as popular.

    the chevy cobalt falls short in many categories, it's steering is vague, the back seat is too small, the fit and finish is sub par even for cars at this level.

    Lows: Engine noise, fuel economy, driving position, seating comfort, fit and finish.

    This car rates 50 out of 100.

    It's better than a Chevy Cavalier but that isn't saying much.
