He puts up a "Storm and Stress" theory, as reads a headline of the almost eighty year old [in 'Capital']. Storm, because this monetary system continuosly creates an accord of monetary and real life factors to keep up a stimulus for growth; Stress, because the system will only be stable through growth.

I'm almost sure he refers to the German literary time of "Sturm of Drang", mostly represented by Friedrich Schiller and his famous play "Die Räuber".
