I usually play on gateway US west but after using some invalid cd keys, my battle net won't let me log on.

It says:

Unable to connect to Battle.net

you may be trying to connect to an

Invalid Battle.net server. If you are

Using a modem, you may need to

manually connect to the internet

before connecting to battle.net.

I been reading around and i believe i have a temp ban. I know it should be around 3 days but the thing is that it has been about 5-6 days.

Does anyone know why its doing this or know how to change your ip for you router? I have a netgear if that helps. I know there are a lot of versions. So you can be as vague as possible.

thanks

  1. Well I'm not entirely sure why you would want to use invalid CD-keys in the first place, I'll assume the question is "How to change my IP address".

First thing, you must have a dynamic IP. Most residential ISP's give out dynamic anyway, so you should be fine. You actually have to go out of your way (and pay extra) to get a static IP.

Basically, to get your ISP to assign you a new IP address, you just need to power cycle both your modem and your router (Note, some modems are hybrid modem/routers, so you might only have the one device). Power cycling simply means to disconnect the device from the power, then reconnect it. This *should* net you a new IP address, but may or may not fix your BNet problems. If not, my suggestion would be to reinstall your War3.

    Best of luck! =]
