I need a serious opinion.
Now, I'm going to graduate with a Honor's diploma.
I only need my AP english class and AP government to get it.
I have an opportunity at my school called the ICE program. What this is is that I go to highschool for 3 periods, and then I go to work at a job.
This job is supposed to be something around what I would like to do AFTER I get out of school. In my case, it will be graphic design, so anything artistic is what I will look for with my job.
It's designed to give you a hands-on experience at what you'll be doing.
I am a bit afraid though. Whether I choose to do the ICE program or not I will still get my Honors diploma. If I don't do that ICE program, I will fill in my schedule with classes like study hall and psychology or something.
Will colleges like me getting that hands on experience ALONG with two AP classes and my honors diploma, or will they prefer I just do a regular senior year with random classes with the 2 AP classes?
My guidance counseler said it was a little risky, but they didn't know because I will be the first to do the ICE program and still get the honors diploma.
Ugh. I'm at a loss.
Suggestions?
