  1. ask ur mum if u can start tutoring

    she obviously cares about you

    and its not nerdy

my friend does maths tutoring and she is like really good at maths now

    and not a geek

    keep believing in yourself

    and believe in ur mum

she sounds like a good mum

  2. i am with u... if u r trying and not getting better grades then pal i am with u.. i am assuming u r really puttin effort.. i think ur mother needs to realize that every child is not einstien... these parents sometimes over do things.. may be u explain her abt it and she might understand... after all mother r understanding...

or is it the presure upon u that is coming in ur wau to good grades.. think abt it.. make a good study pal... do good through revision.. and always pray to the almighty...

    i hope i helped...

  3. Sit next to someone smarter and cheat.

  4. you should really look into getting extra help maybe thur your library or go to the school counselor and ask him to get you extra  help. really don't give up education is the goal to life good luck with mom it will all pass  some day

  5. Set your school work as your first priority. Do and read everything that is assigned by your teachers. Take notes of what the teacher lectures during class and read those notes before you go into that class and you'll see that little by little things will begin to stick which will end up helping you in your tests. Also if you don't understand something ask the professors they'll see that your truly interested in learning and will see that you are putting an effort to understand the class.

  6. ok, firstly, don't be so sad if you get bad grades. seriously, if you do, your self-esteem will be down and that will make it worse.

i don't get really good grades either so i'm kinda in the same boat as u!

and really, count yourself SUPER LUCKY! all my friends have parents scolding their heads off even though they get like 70?

and maybe you can ask help from your teacher and friends. ask them how to study. how they get good grades. if they can't help you, why don't you ask a teacher to give to private remedial. that way you can have a 1 to 1 session which enables you to learn at your own pace.

you mum is just being encouraging!

it is so much better than getting a whole big lecture!

yeah, so like good luck in what you do!

I BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT!

  7. dont worry too much about them. if you try so hard then its good enough. but if your grades arent going up then try to see what you are doing wrong.

    1. maybe a bad study pattern?

    2. maybe a bad teacher??

    3. try asking what the students with good grades do to get them

  8. Whats wrong with your mom telling you to never give up? She obviously believes in you and knows you can do it. Your mom has alot of confidence in you i think now it's time you start having confidence in yourself.

  9. WHEN MY DAUGHTERS WERE 13 N 14,THEY HAD PROBS IN LEARNING,,SO AFTER SCHOOL I WOULD HAVE THEM,READ LETS SAY IT WAS HISTORY,,SO I HAD THEM READ THE CHAPTER THEY WERE READING AT SCHOOL N THEN THE NEXT CHAPTER,,N DO THE ANSWERS TO EACH CHAPTER,,AND THEY GOT BETTER GRADES,,BUT  NOW THAT U HAVE A COMPUTER U CAN TYPE ANY THING  ABOUT HISTORY OR MATH IN THE GOOGLE SECTION N I THINK IT WOULD B  FUNNER TO LEARN WITH A COMPUTER,,,TRY IT,,PEACE

  10. yes you can! all you need to do is change your study habits. sit in a room that is quiet and where you dont have any distractions like family members talking, the radio or the tv. Sit for about 25 minutes and STUDY. As in really focus. Time yourself if you need to. Then stop for about 5 minutes to stretch, get a drink, go to the bathroom, or whatever. DONT WATCH TV OR GAME. after 5 minutes, repeat the 25 minutes of study again. That way, you get 10 mintues per hour and you are efficient.

Also, completing all yoru homework on time and preparing for class the next day helps a LOT. Really doing your homework and understanding it helps you understand your lessons better.

  11. be thankful you have a mom thats interested in you...and believes in you too by the sounds of it. You'll thank her later on life.

  12. i suppose you should get help from your teachers or your friends. the point of telling you never to give up is that when you do achieve the goals you set out in life, you will feeling a great sense of acomplishment. you will never know unless you try.

  13. Well, um... I'm like a A- to B- student and I know I could do better. In 7th grade (last year) I got a C in Social Studies for missing a couple of days and not making up work, same with french, so make sure you make up the work even if you want to do something else. On average we 8th graders get 1 to 2 hours of homework each night, if your in high school, a bit more. So arrange a place to study, away from family members, TV, phone and computer (unless you need that for the assignment.) Do NOT listen to music while you are doing the homework, it doesn't help, it distracts. So pick a time about 4- 5 o' clock. My best friend has to do hers as soon as she gets home and can't do anything before she finishes. Try that if it helps. As for tests? Eat (a healthy!) breakfast before you go off to school. I know EVERYONE says this, but it's true. Try a cup of yogurt and granola, and green apple and a glass of low fat milk (unless your allergic to that kind of stuff, like wheat or dairy.) And don't rush through the test! Take time to read through your answer to make sure you didn't blab about how cute the guy in front of you is! And then there is Asking. Simply explain your problem to your mom, and if she just says "never give up" talk to the teacher  whose subject your not doing so great in. I know a lot of kids are nervous about this, but a.)it's their job b.) you get points for effort c.)they like to see kids TRYING to improve!

    I hope this helps!

  14. same thing with my mom. you know what i did? I asked my teachers for help and yes i was a bit shy at first. Then i studied my *** off. You will be surprised what the results are going to be.

  15. Study Study Study.

If you are really struggling talk to your teacher. That is their job ! They are there to help you. Dont be embarrassed to ask for help.

Stay after school. See if you can make up missing assignments. Ask the teacher if you can do an assignment for extra credit.

Just realize that your mother wants the best for you. She wants you to succeed. Be someone in this world ! If she becomes a little to much sometimes..Just tell her. Mom I am doing my best. I really am.

  16. And she is telling your right, why would you want to give up, what will giving up get you.  Trying and doing your best, is all you can do, but if you don't try, then what?  Hang in there, I know you heard that one before, but, if you don't hang in there, then what?  There are so many then what(s) for quitters, but for those that hang in there - there are rewards.   Oh and Mother knows best.  God Bless.

  17. Prepare a time table for your studies.Just blindly follow that study time table for one month,it definitely makes a larger difference in your academic life! All the best sis:)
