  1. Multiply the whole number (2) and the denominator of the fraction (3) and add the numerator (2), then put that number over 3. Your answer should be 8/3.  


  2. multiply the denominator by the whole number which is two. : 2 * 3 = 6. add 6 to the numerator. and it becomes 8/3.
