I need help on a science project!!!!!!!!!!!?

I am doing a project on the sun and the lamps heat comparison.I need to use a thermometer and 2 containers to see if the sun heats up the water more than the lamp or the other way around.So please give some websites that have what i need and some places to buy 2 thermometers,a cardboard and 2 containers.Please help me!!!!!!!!

Just use 2 aluminum pop cans, 2 lab thermometers from school and black construction paper.  Tape the paper around each can, pour equal volumes of water into the can and put in the thermometers.  Make sure the starting temps are the same then place one can in the sun and one next to a light.  Check the temperature at specific intervals.  You should get some nice data.  You can buy cheap thermometers at the dollar store if the teacher won't lend you any.  Just don't use digital - its a hassle.  Good luck!
