  1. The best bow for you is one that you can draw and shoot accurately, at least 5 times in a row without having to strain. If you are just starting out, go to several local archery pro shops and try out several different set ups to see which one suits you best. Any bow will have to be fitted and tuned to you personally. Check out the different options before you make a large monetary investment.

  2. Hoyt and reflex are both great bows.  My recommendation is to take a look at Diamond Bows.  The quality is great and they are very cost effective.  I shoot a Bow Tech and that is who makes Diamond.  The Diamond Justice Retails for $499 and The Rock for $399.

The only other recommendation is a Martin Bengal.  They sell a full kit that has a bow and everything you would possibly need right on their website, Take a look:  http://www.shopatron.com/product/part_nu...

Those are my recommendations.  The only other recommendation I have for you is to get a good release.  Try a bunch out and make sure you get one that is adjustable and comfortable, otherwise you are just going to spend more money down the line buying another one.  Good Luck!
