I need help on deciding which car for my daughter....?

I am a mother of and my daughter just turned 16 and she just got her drivers license and is dying for a new car! And me and my husband have been thinking about getting her a new Lexus LS460HL for her birthday this week. Do you think we have made the right decision, or should we go with something else for her?

Well if that's what she wants.

But for a first car I'd go for a high end model Ford (SEL) or Chevy (LTZ)or if money is no object go ahead and get her a nice Porsche Cayman

Buy her a new Honda Civic coupe, They're fun, sporty, and reliable. Don't buy a 16 year old a Lexus.

yes,  you love your child, but are you seriously thinking about giving a "new driver" a V-8 car that expensive for the first car?  I have a feeling that the poor car is going to be raced around everywhere and the beautiful car is going to end up being used as a "bumper car" as she learns to drive!  She has no one to impress... everyone knows that she doesn't work and wouldn't be able to afford a car like that, as she is probably in school, so giving your daughter a car that expensive for her first makes it look like you are trying to show off...
