ok, what do you need to know?

you need to find your most local group (use www.freecycle.org or http://finder.overcycle.com/location)

then join the group - some have emails you have to reply to (eg asking for postcode to make sure you're local)

once you're a member, you'll get sent a copy of the freecycle etiquette - basically the rules and regs, explains how to post, what to do and what not to do etc

then you can begin responding, posting etc!
