I am typing this question from my friends computer...

My computer recently got a virus... I was away from home and my brothers were using the computer. Im not really sure how they got a virus but the computer was working up until in the morning.

Now, whenever i am turning on my computer, it is really slow and whenever it gets to the desktop it restarts the computer but before it restarts, a blue screen appears but it doesnt give me enough time to read it.

I tried to do system restore but there are no later days that I can restart my computer too. Sometimes if the computer doesnt restart, i will be sent to the desktop but a few minutes later, the desktop will turn blank...

Can anyone please help me solve this problem with the computer having a virus and repeatedly restarting not allowing me enough time to do a virus scan...

  1. ok this is what you need to do!!!

open up your computer and locate the RAM card. take it out and check to see if there is any dust clogged in the ports.

after that you will want to check the fan belt and see if its broken.

then your going to want to close it all back up, and put a big bandaid on it.

if it still doesnt work throw it against the wall and have it shadder into a million pieces and then sell them on ebay.

    or

you could tell your brothers to stop looking up p**n!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Boot into safe mode first, right click My Computer, select properties and click advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery  click Settings and turn OFF Automatically restart.

Open Task Manager and kill the active lphcp*********.exe process

Delete (SHIFT+DELETE) all the temporary files from C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Local Settings\Temp

Delete (SHIFT+DELETE) the following files from C:\windows\system32: phcp********.bmp, lphcp********.exe and blphcp********.scr. Get them by sorting the files in C:\windows\system32 by the 'last-modified date'.

Perform scan with your antivirus then try to boot into normal mode and download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Quick Scan.

    Also download Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems'
