I posted a question a couple days ago about ways to ride horses and i have gotten some answers! Now that i know i can figure out a way to ride, i need to tell my parents that i know it is time comsuming and i will work hard at a local stable in exchange for riding lessons. I need to do this soon because my friend who i am doing this with parents already said yes! That is another thing, how do i get them to say yes?

  1. Im not sure how old you are- but I know people who rode a horse before they could walk! If age isn't the issue and it's simply a yes or no matter, than you have to talk to them. If you have the type of parents where one will say yes and the other will agree to it just because the other one said so, then talk to the "stronger" parent individually, convince them, and leave it up to them to convince the other parent. If it's both of your parents that need convincing, then sit down and make presentation to them. I know that sounds dorky, but that is how I convinced my mom to let me get a horse! I wrote down on pieces of paper why I deserved a horse and presented my case to her, much like a school project but it is kinda fun. THAT will show them how seriously and responsible you will be about this! Good luck! If you need any more pointers, I'll keep checking on this question, just add more details and I'll reply!
