I need help on making new friends?

I am going to high school and am a boy. I want to make new friends because i dont feel comfortable with my other friends/ just nothing to talk about. How do i make new friends that i like?

First of all - smile loads at people? or is that kinda g*y for a boy? I dunno! OK! Forget that! ..

Um.. You need to definitely be completely yourself around people and don't go out of your way to impress people either.

Be yourslef is the main thing!

That way people will get to know you and your intrests and therefore will be able to talk about your intrests with you and you'll have many things to talk about..And if you are nervous about actually approaching somebody, Just the simple:

" hey what's your name?"

"Blah"

"cool mines Blah. You wana get some lunch?"

"Yeh sure"

" So where u from?"

" I'm from..."...................................

works a treat! or something along the lines ofthat conversation anyway!! you know what i mean!?  If YOU go up to someone - that shows your a well confident boy and It will make you feel more confident when it comes to talking around your interests and such..

good luck... and even if you are a bit shy on the first day, it'll come naturally - remember that..

You should have been a bit more specific, because you didn't say what you liked! But just say hey to all the guys in your class and talk with them about  video games, skateboarding, surfing, chillin at their house, playing sports, going to movies, etc. That way you can see what interests they have in common with you and therefore, you make new friends! when you go to high school you will find that you will make new friends anyway as you will be put into groups just be your self and you will make friends easy don't worry about it

Join a community activity, like a sports team, marching band, or if you're very musically talented, you could try to start some sort of band with some other people. Make yourself known to be more than just a person. A person with talents attracts more friends.
