I need help on my math homework!!?

Question

directions: Suppose J is between H and K. Use the segment addition postulate to solve for X. Then find the length of each segment.

Question:

HJ= 2x + 1/3

JK= 5x + 2/3

KH= 12x - 4

I need help solving it and the answer to make sure i am doing my work right!!! Please help if you can...thanks

2x+1/3+5x+2/3=7x+1

set:

7x+1=12x-4

add four to each side:

7x+5=12x

subtract 7x from each side

5=5x

divide by 5

x=1

Plug the 1 in on each of them:

HJ= 2 1/3

JK= 5 2/3

HK= 8
