  1. have confidence in yourself. If you go up to serve and already have it in your mind that you arent going to get it over, then you wont. Focus on one person on the other side of the net and try and serve to them. You just need to believe in yourself and like the response before, make a routine for yourself....bounce the ball 4 times, turn it in your hand, set your feet, and serve. GOOD LUCK

  2. calm down and relax. when your up on the line you have 8 seconds to calm your self down and serve. do whatever u need to do and if you mess up or really feel nervous let the ball drop

  3. I play club volleyball and i have the same problem! But my coach finally found a way to help me concentrate! When u go back to serve after you do ur little routine......we all have one.....take a nice deep, i mean deep, breath and just serve how u know how to serve! Trust me, if it works for me...the most nervous person ever....it will work for you and then sooner or later you will only need to take a breath when the game is getting way hard-core! Hope it helps and my best wishes!

  4. Go up there thinking ''I can do this! And even if I don't make it over, that'll be okay" Don't put pressure on yourself. Last, take a deep breath and serve. Good Luck! Hope I helped!

  5. This is a common problem with all beginning volleyball players.  My advise to you is to free your mind of anything except your serve.  Do not put too much pressure on yourself, but think and concentrate on what you are doing.  Do not walk back to the line hoping that you don't miss is, because then missing is what your mind is set on.  Instead, walk back to the line saying to yourself, "I am the best server in the world!"  Serving is all in your mind.  You know you have the skill, now show it!
