I need help on sending a letter?

Well actually im sending somebody a necklace still in the package and a little index card that has a note on it can i just send it in a regular letter envelope? or what im confused.

you can -- but remember the letter will go through an auto sort machine and if say it was pearls they might get damaged!!!
