My friend moved away over a year ago and its nearly her 16th birthday, she wants me to go down and see her for it. Its a four hour train journey with no changes and thats what my mum wanted, she made me get all my hopes up and when she agreed it was okay then she said i should ask my dad. my dad's an ****, i really hate him, i knew as soon as she said that that the answer would be no, and it was, i need to persuade him somehow since i havnt seen her since she left, but he says no because he doesn't trust me and when she left we wern't on good terms and she was causing trouble when she wasn't so basically hes just thinking of reasons that arn't even true so i can't go. help please?

  1. Instead of trying to persuade him to let you go, why not see if she can come to your place.  Tell him that way he can keep an eye on both of you, and he can see that she has improved.  But if she's still causing trouble, forget it - it's time to find a new friend.
