My room is a rectangle, so its a little long. my furniture is white and sleek[modern] and my bedding is black and white. I want the shorter sides of my room and dark color, and the long side and light or bright color. for the shorter sides i want it to be a pretty purple, but i dont know what color to choose for the long sides. i think a pastel yellow or and light green will look nice. what do you think? also im 16 yr old girl, if that helps for you to know what kind of style i like. i like modern, and vintage, i dont really like girly, so not pink.

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

Check out the colors "dewberry" (# 6552) and "breaktime" (# 6463) together. I think it would look terrific.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. Try tiffany blue (see Tiffany's).

You can accent it with your black stuff. It will also look nice with dark brown, pink or green accents.

It is a very flexible color. Pastel but not to girly.
