As my stay at home/unemployed husband says he has no time to cook anything and just gives her crackers and formula. So I am looking for 2 snacks and 1 lunch and 1 dinner I can put together for her before I go to work. A weekly plan or a good web site to help me out would be great.

  1. my idea is any soup recipe that you have you can make with less water and mash it for your baby .. as long as it's good for you it's good for the baby . and you can put it at the fridge and reheat it ..

also simple types of risotto with milk and sugar or with veggies ..

  2. mac and cheese beans rice fresh fruit cooked veggies waffles pancakes french toast cereal oatmeal grilled chicken baked chicken soup hope it helps i have a 1yr old and he loves all of the above

  3. One thing that works good for toddlers is mashed potatoes and baked chicken. Mac and cheese reheats well too.

  4. DAY 1:

Lunch - Baked Macaroni and Cheese W/ Halved Grapes

[Prepare the macaroni in a pan (refrigerate) and leave directions for how to cook it; have the grapes already halved and in a plastic dish]

Dinner - Chicken and Mashed Potatoes W/ Carrots

[Cook the chicken and potatoes. Have them in pans to reheat them on the stove. Cut the carrots in half and put them in a dish for her.]

2 Snacks - Monkey Mix and Apple Slices

[Create the mix as according to the recipe below, leave out the almonds. Have one serving already in a dish for her.; Have the apple sliced - dip the slices in lemon juice so they don't brown[

    DAY 2:

Lunch - Chicken Alfredo and Pretzels

[Make the noodles, chicken, and alfredo sauce. Have them in a pot in the fridge. He can just warm when time for lunch.; Have a serving of pretzels pre-measured out for her.]

    Dinner - Lasagna and Broccoli

[Have the lasagna made along with directions on how long to cook it and for how long in the oven. ; Have the broccoli washed and in a dish for her.]

2 Snacks - Fruit Kabob and Popcorn

[Put her fave fruits on a skewer stick with the point cut off or a straw, have one on a plate for her. ; Make a batch of popcorn and have one container set aside for her or see if your husband can manage some microwave popcorn.]

    DAY 3:

Lunch - Tacos and Banana Slices

[Have taco meat cooked. In small containers have enough cheese, meat, and lettuce for one taco. Tell him to put all in a tortilla and heat on the stove for a few minutes. ; Pre-cut the banana.]

Dinner - Burgers and Butter Noodles

[Have burgers cooked - tell him to heat them on the stove and put on a bun. Have noodles cooked and ask him to melt butter over them.]

2 Snacks - Cheese W/ Crackers and Strawberries

[Have cheese sliced and in a bag for her, have another bag with a few crackers. ; Hull the strawberries, wash them, and put in a bowl for her.]

    DAY 4:

Lunch - Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

[I think he can handle grilled cheese and heating up canned (shudders) tomato soup.]

Dinner - Beef Roast and Baked Potatoes and Cucumber Slices

[Before you leave, put a beef roast in the crock pot. By dinner, it will be ready to eat. He can manage putting a few potatoes in the oven 50 minutes before dinner. Have cucumber sliced up in a bowl.]

2 Snacks - Oranges and Oatmeal Cookies

[Slice an orange and out in a bowl for her. ; Make oatmeal raisin cookies and have 1 or 2 for her in a dish.]
