I need help planning a party!!!?

Question

My mom turns the big 4-0 in late November. My younger sister and I have already come up with the idea of getting a yard critter (those cardboard signs). My sister suggested the idea of hiring a stripper, but this party is for my mom, not her. lol. Anyway, I was hoping to have an adult party with her friends and sisters (she has four of them), but I'm having a lot of difficulty coming up with a theme. My mom is a rather spunky woman (she borrows my clothes) and is excited about turning 40. So I really don't want something boring. I know there's a lot of preparations and it doesn't help I'm leaving this weekend for college. I was hoping I could get at least at least a foundation for the party now before it gets too late and I'm busy with school. Are there any fun party ideas you know of that an 18 and 15 year old can put together? I would really appreciate the help!!!

You should get a limo and either go do a dance club ~ reserve a section of the room so you all can have a booth/table area for the guest and you can decorate a bit (nothing to young or to old but just right)

or if you have a bit more money maybe you all could do a spa day and then enjoy cocktails or whatever on the patio in the evening ~ this one may be hard if you are on a budget

If you are really on a budget you could have a themed party at the house where people dress up ~ either a 70's party or 80's or whatever era she prefers or you could do a "red carpet" party and people dress up like their favorite Hollywood star or the ole stand by the all white party ~ depending on the theme would be the food but it would be fun if you did like a 70's party then have fondue pots set up w/ martini bar or margarita's

I went to a Rubiks cube party that was fantastic. Everybody has to wear items of clothing in the colours of Rubiks Cube i.e.blue,green,yellow,orange,white,red. The idea for the party was that you had to swap your clothes with other people so that you all ended up wearing only one colour. Make sure that you tell people that they might not get their clothes back or make it a surprise. Great way for people to get to know one another.

rent out an arcade or a roller rink for just her, her friends, your close favored family, and you guys :] if that cant happen because of expenses or complications, just bring them all to a roller rink for a day of fun!

i would say a toy party(s*x toys)...thats what my mom did for her bachlorette party last year...(she's 52)...ur mom might enjoy it...the only thing is ur sister wouldnt be able to be at the house while its goin on...so i would say give her the toy party for her and her friends...then go out to dinner with the three of yall...
