OK, so I downloaded this torrent (http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4106878/American.Pie.2.Secret.Disguise%5B2001%5D%5BUnrated.Edition%5DDvDrip%5BEng%5D).

Maybe at 35% through the downloading process, I previewed the file, via VLC Media Player, it played 1 min of video. When it was done, I went to open the file, and it would not work. There's no audio or video.

I went through the readme file, and it said to download the AC3 and DivX codec, but I already had it. So I reinstalled VLC media Player, but to no avail. Then I played it with WMP 11, and it still did not play.

It's a .avi file, and I ran it through various programs (Gspot, AVIcodec),

and it didn't do anything. I run Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit) and the file is around 1gb, if that's any help...

Normally I would've downloaded from aXXo, but there were no American Pie torrents.

  1. Delete it. It is faulty. And do a virus scan for Pete's sake.
