Question:

I need help playing electric guitar please!?

I REALLY want to play the bass guitar, but my mom said I can't (even if I buy my own) until I get good at the guitar. What is the quickest and fastet way to learn guitar? Are there any tricks, books, or anything like that?

(I'm not allowed to take lessons, because I already do for another instrument). The maximum amount of time I have patience for is 2 years. Anything past that, well...

Anyways, I don't have to be insanely incredible at guitar, but I need to be able to say that I am a good electric guitarist.

  1. First off, learning takes time and dedication. Choose an instrument and stick with it. There is no faster way to learn. It all depends on your own learning style. I suggest you learn chords and pick up some tabs off the internet. It should get you decent enough to be 'good' in your parents eyes. At the same time, you should be concurrently learning how to read bass clef so when you get your bass it will be easier to pick up (and much faster).

  2. lmao, they are the same thing, just one ocative lower and one less string. So your mom is crazy lmao.

Bass is also overrated, anyway, to get good just google a begginers book.

Lmao, If you play piano you don't even need a book, you just need to know the notes of thje strings, far as without the frets.
