I need help please about going to japan please help

ok well me and me friend are going to japan when we graduate we are going to stay at the strings hotel at tokyo the plane and hotel will cost about 7,300 for 28 days round trip we plan to take about 3 to 5,000 dollars each to spend over there we are learning to speak japanese with rosseta stone what we need to know is what phone companies work over seas and what credit card work over there i live in the u.s. i need to know how to turn my money into yen and were to find that place is it here in the u.s. or do i change it over there please help i would really really like it please!

mastercard and visa....but most you'll have to use cash.    You can change money at the airport when you arrive or just withdraw from you card account at post office atms...they are in english.  Not sure about phone companies, but you should be ok if you have a 3G phone.
