I need examples of simile, personification, and metaphor about a teddy bear. I know this sounds silly but I am really confused, I have been on websites all day looking for them and when I think I finally have it I confuse myself all over again.

  1. Well a simile is comparing two unalike things by using the words 'like' or 'as' . So you could say "My teddy is soft as snow" or "my teddy bear is soft like cotton". Use whatever comes to you.

Personification is when u compare something with a human like characteristic. So saying that your teddy bear is lonely would be an example, becuase humans are lonely. just use something that you would write for a person, but use ur teddy bear instead.

A metephor us sort of like a simile, but u don't use 'like' or 'as'. "My teddy's a tiger when he's angry" would be an example of that.

Don't use my examples, come up with your own so you fully understand them. Hope I helped some.

  2. You can do this...

simile (use like) about a teddy bear

I held on to my umbrella like a kids holds to his favorite teddy bear

personification (give the object a human emotion or ability) about a teddy bear

The teddy bear laid there in the gutter looking up at us sadly.

metaphor (compare two things without using as or like, use "is") about a teddy bear

The principal is a teddy bear.

  3. simile uses like or as.   ex.  busy as a bee

metaphor says you are.  ex.  you are what you eat

personification gives human traits. ex.  My teddy bear gave me a hug.

hope that helps clear it up some.  good luck!

  4. simile uses like and as in the phrase. for example: The teddy bear is like a chew toy to the baby. Sorry im kinda new at the other two! hopefully i helped a little bit!=]=]
