im a VEGETARIAN that needs to put on some weight i lost this year. I'm starting to become too thin for my liking. I'm not anorexic or bulemic but i have lost weight.

No meat: no fish, no eggs, no chicken, pork or beef, no no no. If you could give me advice based on that info that would be great.

Milk, cheese, ice cream, nuts all OK. Not allergic to nuts or lactose.

Unfortunately i lose weight sitting down, so i need some advice on that too. Goal is to gain 5 - 10 pounds in whatever time frame is healthy. I just dont wanna go any further down.

  1. Stay active, but eat more frequently higher calorie foods. Such as nuts, olive oil, pasta, breads, white rice, fried foods, desserts, etc.

Also eat more protein and carbs.

  2. At dinner time eat as much as possible. Dont make yourself sick though. Dont splurge. My mom said I am super skinny. I have gained a little weight because I snack all the time!!! Snacking should help. I hope this helps!!!

  3. The first thing that came into my mind was: BANANAS!

Great for putting on weight, and I love them - have them as milkshakes, or fried, baked with brown sugar and lemon.

You can get a smoothie maker, and make lovely healthy smoothies with creme fresh and jersey milk.

Also try those canned drinks called Nurishment, high cal + full of vitamins.

Eat lots of salads and fruit,

  4. try starving urself a week and then eat a lot cuz it will slow down ur matabolism. =3 (not healthy)

  5. WOW! naturally girls are wild to lose weight not gain it. but in your case  its def. the opposite. Try eating as much as you can whenever possibe. Dont get me wrong i dont want you to make yourself sick but foods like cake and ice-cream should do the trick. i dont know if you exercise all the time but if you are a pretty athletic person then you need to take a break and slow down in order to gain some weight. just talk to your doctor more about this and i wish you all the luck in the world.

  6. protein shakes...power bars....chocolate....or just buy a drink called Ensure...really tasty it helps gain weight....in 3-4 months i've gained around 6-8 pounds which is good considering i exercise a lot
