I'm going to 6 Flags great adventure tomorrow, and I'm so nervous about the thrill rides that I can't breathe properly! I need to know

1. If there's a way of knowing whether or not I'll feel nauseous on the rides (I don't get car sick). And what I can do to prevent it.

2. I've been on Space Mountain and The Revenge of the Mummy in Orlando, Florida. If I can handle those do you think I'll be ok on Nitro and such? What's the comparison between Nitro and the Mummy?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. PLEASE HELP!

(I'm sorry, I know I'm overreacting but I'm really scared)

  1. wow im goin there on friday, but we dnt have to be worried its all fun

  2. if you have a fear of heights when going on roller coaster yes you might be nauseous and get sick  2 yes i think you can handle nitro and others at six flags there is also a fun ride at six flags called the batman ride you might like that if you handled space mountain and the mummy but breath and relax you will have fun :)

  3. If your head is dizzy then ill be getting off you will probably vomit eat lots of dry foo like cookies, bread, muffins plus no milk

They are both about the same

  4. Well... I've been to a Six Flags before. Not to the one in NJ, but I've still been to one.

    1. It depends on the ride for the nauseous part. If you don't get car sick, you'll be okay on rides such as (ex. bumper cars and the ferris wheel etc.) If you don't have a strong stomache, don't go on spinny rides such as (ex. the teacups or chaos etc.) Roller coasters are usually okay, strong stomach or not, because there's not a whole lot of spinning. If you're scared of the drops and the loops, (which I personally think are the best parts), close your eyes. That helps a lot because your mind and body don't know when they're coming and the fear can't bottle up. And if you leave your eyes open and it DOES bottle up, that's what screaming's for, right?

    2. I have been on The Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios on vaca in Cali, but sorry, I don't know what the Nitro is because they don't have that at the Six Flags I live by.

I think that as long as you start out with the slower, easier rides and then let yourself get braver, you'll be okay. If you want to go on rides you're unsure of, test yourself. If you want to go on something that spins, go on a ride that spins slowly. Then start progressing to ones that go faster. If you want to go on roller coasters, start out with the kiddie one (you think you'll feel stupid, but the kiddie one CAN be fun, too-- I've had experience.) Then start going on ones that don't go upside down and have the fewest amount of drops.

I hope this helps you. Sorry I didn't know about the Nitro. Have fun tomorrow! [=
