I need help remembering a story?

so this is very vague, and I apologize, but I'm trying to remember a story, about a book with an infinite number of pages, and a person who wanted to get rid of it. i'm not sure why, but the book contained everything, and once you saw a page and turned it you would never see that page again. they were afraid to burn the book because they didn't know if it would work or if the book would just burn forever. again, I'm sorry this is so vague, but this is driving me crazy.
