I need help removing the rear quarterpanel on a pontiac firebird?

I can't find the directions for the exterior body pieces in the repair guide. How is this done?

  1. its welded on ,and if your not real careful you,ll cut to much out of it,id leave this one to a body shop,thats a little more than you migth want to tackle,those are hard to get off and on they dont bolt on like a fender does,and if you dont know how to weld you cant install the new one,good luck.


  2. if it,s all in 1 piece, drill a hole and use a saws all and cut the panel out.

    I believe that the roof and the rear quarter panels are one piece. So the rear quarter panel would have to be cut apart and a new one welded back on.

  4. They are welded on. Unless you are good at body work, I would let a body shop do it.
