I have a 1973 honda CB450K that I am restoring. It runs on both cylinders, but the left will cut out more often than not, and backfire. I don't know how to fix this problem. I have looked over the entire bike and can't seem to find a short, but I'm not ruling it out. I hope some one can help me fix this problem.

  1. free download of a parts book here & manual ..

& generic Honda manual..covers all honda motors..

& you could try swaping the plug leads..  if the right starts to cut out its electrical..  if its still the left then its timing or valves..
