I need help selecting a fairly inexpensive Mp3 or ipod player?

I would like to put around 700-800 songs on it.It does not to be expensive a generic one is a okay no more $80-100. Could I have some suggestions.

    the 1 gb is $49 and holds 240 songs and the 2 gb is $69 and holds about 500
