  1. Use websites like CharterX.com, legfind.com, and Jetposting.com.

  2. i have an idea. get out of the most competitive business in private aviation if you havent figured this question out. very very few people make money at jet chartering and those that do have been at it for decades. ever wonder why the airlines don't charter out thier aircraft? hmmmmmmm?

  3. Research as many trade organizations as possible and advertise in their magazines or bulletins for charters to their conventions or conferences.

    lludwig3 has some excellent info.

Thanks! I needed that info too!

  4. Good Grief.....   the airlines charter their equipment EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK....   ATA flew more military charters and State Dept. charters than it did scheduled flights for years. How do you think ALL the pro sports teams get to their games when they fly?? United, Delta, AA, NWA, ... ALL charter their a/c on a routine basis.

Aircraft charter is a tough business.. but a lucrative one...and right now... Jet charter is growing at a very fast pace and being used more and more. If you are not getting calls, then you are doing something fundementally wrong...  either you are not reaching your potential clients (advertising) you don't offer a competitive service (equipment/range/age of aircraft etc) your pricing is off, you are in a bad location....  all the basics. You are going to face serious competition in the mega charter companies and the fractionals, and if you expect to succeed with it, you are going to need to be on top of your game, give quality service that will get you positive reviews and referrals, and you should network with other charter outfits to pick up the trips they can't handle. There are IT based companies that will get you on the list and help find you work, even if it is a hotshot charter for car parts from Mexico to YIP or CYUL, you do those things to build up your business until you don't have to take those trips and have a solid client base under you.
