  1. NO DON'T BEND YOUR FINGERS:-)

  2. Okay, I play on my highschool team and my Uncle who played club as a kid really helped me with setting.

First, make a sort of triangle with your thumbs and index fingers, letting the other fingers cup around the ball when you set it.

When I set, the ball usually touches my hands at my head-level, but you may be different. Anyway, you really need to practice releasing the ball quikly or the ref will call on you for 'holding'. That is why when you set, you sort of flick your wrists so the ball is released sooner.

So the ball goes higher, bending your knees really, really helps. When I practice, I stand on the back line and try to set the ball over the net. I actually have to jump a little to get the ball over it.

If at first you hold the ball longer then allowed, it's better then when you hit the ball with your finger tips. When the ball is set, there should almost be no sound at all.

Hope that helped, and good luck!

  3. First make a triangle with pointer fingers and thumbs. Then when you contact the ball your hands should be right above your forehead. Make sure you also use your legs to help push the ball. That will make it go a lot further. When the ball touches your hands push them out so they are straight but your palms are facing upwards. Give the wrist a little flick but dont have your hands facing outwards. Keep the shape of the ball with your hands all the way through till the end.

  4. you put your hands up to your forehead using a diamond shape with your index and thumb

when you finish your set your arms should be forward and next to your ears

    your fingers should be relaxed

  5. hold ur fingers on the outline of the ball, it should have the brand company like in the middle! that is known as shape in kansas than put it over ur foreheand that's know as window than realsh the ball, like ur superman, that's known as freeze and last but not least drag ur hands back and ur done!

  6. make a triangle with your hands.  ALWAYS keep your hands up and ready to set (about 3 inches in front of your forehead). Keep your fingers slightly bent, your wrists cocked back, and stiff wrists.  Your right foot should point towards the exact spot you want to set the ball to. Cushion the ball slightly as it comes in and then extend your elbows.

That's it.  You'll naturally flick your wrists when you set (similar to shooting a basketball, but not nearly as much). Try to control that as much as possible.  The less you snap your wrists, the more accurate and softer your sets will be.  I promise.

  7. well there is one way i was tough and it is to hold one of your hands in the other &put your thumbs sid by sid

  8. this can be got by simple practice techniques like taking the help of the wall k stand opposite to a wall atleast 4feet higher than you keepin your hands above your head about 10 inches infront of it,catch the ball n throw it to the wall keep practicin this way and you will perfect in no time.
