  1. Each person who becomes veggie/vegan, saves one acre of trees per yr they stay veggie/vegan.

do not know where abouts you live, but just put "Hare Krishna vegetarian restaurants" into search bar and came up with a ton of responses.  put Hare Krishna in there bcuz i know of one in L.A. Cali, and it serves "vegan" food, SO i am guessing that they all have vegan friendly foods as well, and since they have reataurants all over the world.....maybe there's one near you!  hope this helps!  :)

  2. Whenever you feel like eating eggs and milk or even meat, watch the video(which you can see on-line, try youtube), Chew On This.  It doesn't matter how you fell about PeTA, either way the video will help!

  3. Think of the animals!!!

Animals all over the world are exploited and suffer for human food and drink (including dairy cows and egg laying hens)

Go watch a video like "meet your meat" or "earthlings"

Think about the impact on the environment. The meat/dairy/egg industries is one of the worst polluters of greenhouse emissions.

Try to find some vegan-friendly restaurants. Or cook more at home. Or tell the waiter at a restaurant that you're vegan, and see if you can modify meals so they can be vegan.

Ask for pizza without cheese. Be creative

  4. It's hard at first but you get use to it! Usually I don't go out much so I really don't have that problem but if I do want something out I will go to places like subway that sells simple things! The Italian bread there is veg@n and I get the veggie delite, the foot long! And it's only 500calories! It's very good and I love them. But when I go out to sit down type places I like to eat salads and I ask if the fries are cooked with the meat, if not, fries too! It'll get easier!

  5. These sites might help:

    Vegan options at chain restaurants:

Vegan options at fast food restaurants:

If you need motivation, watch the video Meet Your Meat: http://meat.org/

Or read about cruelty in the egg and dairy industries:

    Good luck!

  6. the only way u can stay a vegan is to eat only the stuff the is not meat vegetarian foods and most places have lots of vegetarian meals like eggplant parm and all that other stuff that is not meat but if u want to continue to be a vegan and believe in that stuff then u can figure out a way to stay a vegan. I could never be a vegetarian cause their is not much food i would eat cause i am not a big fan of fruit and vegetables. yeah i do not like eating meat cause they are killed for it but their is no way in my life that i can become a vegetarian if i was one i would not survive more then a day if that.

  7. us vegans can eat ALL the vegetables and fruits and most of the restaurants have wide range of salads, so it shouldn't be so hard.

you may not be able to find soy stuff like tofu or whatever you cook foryourself at home easily when you eat out, but it shouldn't affect your socializing, thanks to salads :)

  8. Most places have a garden salad, baked potato, and/or spaghetti option--I can almost always find this, no matter where I go out to eat.  Even steakhouses!

Sometimes you have to get creative with the menu--look on the side dishes section, along with the salads and soups.  There is always something for vegetarians to eat--don't worry!

Don't give up on being vegan out of desperation--it's one of the best things you could possibly do for your body and for the earth.  Good luck!
