Mine are never tight enough. And I feel as if I can't do very good because they're so loose! What are some tips?

Oh yeah I have my own.

  1. they have theese new skates with wires that you can crank up go 2 source 4 sports

  2. You need to start lower when tieing them. Start my pulling them laces so they are ALMOST out of the hole, then keep going down pulling them out. Then start with the last one you pulled out and pull it in very tight. Do so with the rest. Also never tie them around your ankles if the lace is to big! Tuck them in the top of your skates or get boot covers.

  3. When you pull it as tight as you can, does it look like the leather is buckling?  If so, they are probably too big for you.  You can pull them as tight as you can but eventually the boot will warp and you won't have your weight over the blade correctly.  If you can't tighten your skates enough that usually means they are the wrong size.  Good luck.

  4. I have sometimes had this issue.

when you put the skates on tighten each bottom lace loop as tight as you can (as long as it doesn't hurt) then tie a knot as if you were tying the first part of a shoe but loop it around one more time. Pull tight. When you're lacing up the top part pull tight after every loop. Tie on every loop except the top one. Tie in a double knot. I hope this helps!

if you still have trouble don't be afraid to ask your coach/teacher, she might have some tips.

    happy skating

  5. Basicly ..

    you get some string

    and tie a knot

    hope that helped

  6. i have the same problem. First thing you should do is put new laces in. sometimes, laces get all worn out and dont tie very well. Second thing is when you tie your skates.when you get to the top part, pull tight then do one hand at a time, strongest hand first. also, you should lace so that it comes up and over the knotch. it should start over the top then loop around and come out from the bottom, then cross it over to the next notch like you normally would. hope this helped. also, if it doesnt quite work, tuck the knot (which should be a double knot) into the top of your boot.
