  1. dewalt is good   best is milwalkee...but if u a apprentice  just go to sears get craftsman until you need better...are way cheaper

  2. Dewalt.  reliable, easy to buy batteries, lots of accessories.  If the professionals use them, why not everyone?

  3. I use Dewalt and Bosch power tools...

  4. If you really want quality and durability, try MILWAUKEE and HILTI. They are a wee expensive but they are really good. They last!!! Another is PORTER CABLE. Another expensive brand!!

  5. What kind of tools are you looking for?  I'll give you a list of my recommendations.  These are based on what tools I own, as well as what tools the contractors I work for supply.

Milwaukee:  Sawzall, cordless drill, Magnum corded 1/2" drill. impact driver

Porter-Cable:  Circular saw, router (Look at the multi-base kits available), belt sander, finish nailer, pancake compressor (nailers and compressor available as a kit), random orbit sander

Bosch:  Jig saw (there is none better), Bulldog hammer drill

    DeWalt:  Drywall s***w gun

    Panasonic:  Cordless drill

Paslode:  Framing gun, cordless finish gun

Most of these tools are available with cases.  If they have one available, get it.  Makes it a lot easier to carry extra bits, blades, etc.

Obviously, you will need some time to accumulate these tools.  You can drop a few subtle hints to your family around your birthday and Christmas.  I got a bunch that way.  Hope this helps.

  6. You have a lot too pick and choose from. Everyone has there own opinion as too which one is the best but the fact is Dewalt, Porter Cable , Bosch and  Makita are all excellent tools but it is all going to boil down to which one you like. I am a woodworker too. I have Dewalt, Porter Cable and Craftsman tools.

  7. I like de-walt drill, Makita skill saw, Milwakee sawzall.  That's my kit.  De-walt xrp batteries are good but pricey.  I never found a cordless saw that was reliable.  Stick to a saw with a cord.
