My husband has been in jail for 3 months now since yesterday. I don't know how long he'll be in for. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I know that he wont be with me for our little girls birth date. The thing is how do I cope being without him? We have been together for 3 years and 4 months..and this is my first child and his second. It took us 3 years to finally get pregnant and then he ends up in jail and wont be with us for that special day. He is looking at 10 years tops..don't know what his sentencing will be but I have faith that it wont be that long....=/

  1. I think you need to evaluate your situation. Ten years is no joke, thats for something serious, do you want to be with someone that has broken the law in such a way? Is that a good role model for your child? Do you want to raise this child on your own for its first 10 years of life? He shouldnt have been selfish enough to do what he did when you two are trying to have a baby! For what- to  leave you to raise it alone?! Doesnt sound like a great guy to me.

Oh and also, congrats on the baby, I feel for you. This should be the most exciting time of your life right now and you are left alone. I hope you have a good support system to be there for you :)

  2. Unfortunately, you're just going to have to accept the fact.  You don't know but maybe he could get out for good behavior, or at least be able to be w/you for the birth of your child.  Have him ask & see if there's at least a possibiility he could & If there's something he could do to make it happen, he could work towards it.  It all depebds on the judge.  You do have to take into consideration he's not going to be around for awhile.  Do you reallly think he would be a gooof inskuence on your child in the long run.  You also have that to think of how too.  Would it maybe just be good to put him in your past so you'd have a chance of a new beginning for both you & the baby.  Just dooesn't sound like a good solid relationship to raise a child w/tho.  Do some serious thinking too on that matter.  All the best to you...:)
