  1.      3y-4[x-2(5-4x)-y]                                             formula

       =3y-4[xCy0+8x-y]                                          1)+* + = +

       =3y-4[9*10-y]                                                 2)- * -  = +

       =3y-36x+40+4y                                              3)-  * + = -

       =3y-36x+44y

       =3y-80xy

       =77xy

  2. remember pemdas, so do the parens first.

    3y-4[x-2(5-4x)-y]

    3y-4[x-(10-8x)-y]

    3y-4[x-10+8x-y]

    3y-4[9x-10-y]

    3y -(36x - 40 -4y)

    3y - 36x + 40 + 4y

    7y - 36x + 40

  3. follow BODMAS - ie first brackets then divide multiply add and subtract

    so open the inner most bracket first and then move outwards

    3y-4[x-10+8x -y]

    3y -36x + 40 +4y

    7y -36 x + 40

    AM

  4. 3y - 4[x - 2 ( 5 - 4x ) - y]              {first need to expand brackets}

    3y - 4[x - 10 + 8x - y]          {times everything in the brackets by (-) 4

    3y - 4x + 40 - 32x + 4y                 {then simplify}

    7y - 36x + 40

    hopefully that helps you :)

  5. so first do the operation in the brackets [x-2(5-4x)-y] remember that multiplication is always first... so...(-2)(5-4x) after multiplying it out u get...-10+8x so you have  then subtract y bc its in the brackets... so u have...3y-4[x-10+8x-y]after simplifying u get...3y-4[-10+9x-y].. after multiplying u get...-30y+40+27x^2-36x-3y^2+4y...-26y+4...

  6. 3y-4[x-2(5-4x)-y]

    =3y-4[x-10+8x-y]

    =3y-4[9x-y-10]

    =3y-36x+4y+40

    =7y-36x+40 ..ans
