ok, I'm reading Gavroche by Victor Hugo, but this is texte en francais facile.

so anyway I need help understanding chapter 16 (Dernière Bataille)

What does Enjolras mean when he said "Ne mêlons pas ce corps aux nôtres"?

and help me understand more clearly whats going on with Jean Valjean and Javert

please help, I am going to have a discussion about this in class tommorow and I can't do that if I dont understand, thank you in advance :)

I think the phrase means let's not  mix this body with others.  Is the topic about chastity or morality?  Or maybe about one or more people remaining aloof from another person or group of people?
