I started letting my daughter Shave her legs at the beginning of summer. Since school is coming up soon, she wants to shave so she can wear shorts. She has ALOT of scabby mosquito bites on both legs so it's VERY hard to shave without cutting one open. I don't want her to use Removal cream because we tried that and she broke out with rashes on both legs like 2 hrs after we used it. What can i do?

  1. tell her to wear capris...

  2. The bites should go away soon, especially if they are already scabbed over. Just tell her to wait a few days and wear long pants or use mosquito repellent.

  3. wel... take yur time an try to shave around the bitesz. ?? ummm orr yur jus guna have to wait until tha scabsz are gone. buh my best idea iss slowly an carefully an gentlly shave her legsz wid out lettin tha razor go over tha scabsz. an if itsz tooo hard to do dat den. i rilly dnt noe wat yu can do. goodlucc. =] im sry yur daughter hasz stupid mosquito bitesz on her legsz. i hate those soo much. VERY ITCHY. =/ wel good lucc again hun.

  4. You can wear pants, and next year use repellent.

  5. you could have her bleach the hair with a bleaching kit until the bites heal and then shave it

  6. shave around the bites? or just shave super gental?

I had bug bites and my doctor told me not to shave and I did anyway. I was fine

  7. Have her shave her legs carefully, not shaving over the scabs until they heal.

  8. just shve everywhere exept the bites and shave very carefully

  9. Put small dots with a marker or band-aids on the bites so she can see where they are. Then let her shave around those, she can trim the hair that is right next to or on the bite with scissors so they don't look to weird.

  10. To prevent ugly scars on her legs, I would tell her to wait until the bites heal.

  11. in the mean time just use an electric razor and tell her that you dont press down hard at all. And let the mesquitos bites go away. But make sure now that you put alot of repelant because then they should go away.

  12. I would either get veet which is you use a cream and the razor doesn't cut skin no matter how you use it. And if shes broken out maybe she was useing something scented. I and her both have sentive skin and get the veet that has aloe and it is unscented. And if you are still unsure. Maybe go out and have her find a really cute pair of pants she could rather wear instead of the shorts.

  13. just let her shave.

or have her wait till the bites heal and then she can shave.

  14. Ohman, I had the samee problem.

What you could do, is not shave for a while ( gross, i know) so the mosquito bites can heal. But some Neosporn or something on it to maybe speed up the healing process, and then before school, she'll be able to shave her legs. Or if that isn't an option, there are many different hair removal cremes out there for sensitive skin, however with bug bites, I'm almost positive that they'll get irritated. Don't use wax, it'll rip open any scab on the bite.

    Good Luck (:

  15. Try putting Neosporin on the bites and letting her wear jeans until they heal, or try a depilatory made for sensitive skin.  Patch test it first.  She can also just wear the shorts without removing the hair.  Besides, at 11, how hairy could she possibly be?

P.S.- To avoid this problem in the future, have her use a hydrocortizone cream on the bites rather than scratching.  That's where the scabs come from that are cutting open.

  16. I use this really good cream, its called Zincofax.

For me, it stops the itching of the mosquito bites and sometimes shrinks them. =]

But, you could just shave around the mosquito bites.

  17. I would tell her to use cortizone cream or calimine lotion on the bites. If she shaves, she might cut them open and end up with scars. I'd tell her to wear pants for a little while until the bites heal. I know, hair removal cream like Nair gives me a rash, too. I'd tell her to wait, then tell her to shave with a mild body wash instead of shaving cream or hair removal cream. Good luck! Hope this helps :)

  18. Try using an electric razor -- it will be much easier on the skin.

  19. Wear pants or capri's and ask your doctor if you can find something stronger

  20. try waxing, or shave around the bites, and wait until they heal.

  21. let her shave but just dont go over the mosquito bites

  22. wax

  23. It is more sanitary for her to just wait... the bites can actually get infected by shaving and cutting them open. I know that age 11 it is hard for her to see beyond what she wants (been there, done that, LOL), but it will be better in the long run.

  24. tell her to wait untill the bites are gone and do not use removel cream with mosquito bites it burns really bad and it will only make her brake out more it happened to me but let her shave if she wants to tell her it will only make it look worse and if she doesnt want to let her shave
