I need help w/ this 2 part problem (i think it's geometry 0.0 im not sure)?

a) Describe i a few sentences the steps involved in findin an equation of the perpendicular bisector of a line segment.

b) write an equation of the perpendicular bisector of the segment joinin the points (7,0) and (1,8)

first find the slope between these 2 points: = 8-0/ 1-7 = 8/-6 = 4/-3

the slope perpendicular to this is 3/4

now find the bisector of the line, the point half way between the 2 points given.,

(7+1)/2, 0+8/2

(4,4) the new line goes through this point

so x=4 y =4 m = 3/4

use y=mx+b

4 = 3/4* 4 +b

4 = 3 +b

1=b

so the equation of the perpendicular bisector is y = 3x/4 +1
