I need help wif my science progect on the great rift valley?

im doin this progect i cant find like how the great rift alley was formed and stuff and impact of people and stuff around and and stuff so can someone plz tell me were i can find info

The East African rift valley was formed by stretching of the earth's crust over a mantle plume.  It is an incipient spreading ridge.  There is quite a lot of information about it on Wikipedia, and some of the other websites listed below.
