  1. firstly you should get all the like terms to the same side, so subtract the 27 from both sides, and subtract the x from both sides.

    this will give you -12x=-60

    now you divide both sides by -12 to get x by itself:

    x=5

  2. Subtract x on both sides,

    you'll get 20-12x=-33

    Subtract 20 on both sides and you'll get

    -12x=-53

    Divide by -12

    and you can

    leave it as x=53/12

    x=53/12

  3. 27+33=11x+x

    60=12x

    5=x

  4. Add 33 to both sides (60-11x = x)

    Add 11x to both sides (60 = 12x)

    Divide both sides by 12 (5 = x)

  5. 27-11x=x-33

    27+33=x+11x

    60=12x

    x=60/12

    x=5

  6. X=5

    60=12X
