  1. Simplify -7x - 2 = 24 - 9x

    Add 7x to both sides

    -2 = 24 - 2x

    Subtract 24 from both sides

    -26 = -2x

    Divide by -2

    13 = x

    Check if x = 13 is a solution (replace x with 13 into original equation):

    -7(13) - 2 = 24 - 9 (13)

    -91 - 2 = 24 - (117)

    -91 - 2 = -93

    24 - 117 = -93

    So

    x = 13

  2. -7x - 2 = 23 - 9x

    so first your going to add 2 to the right side (because what you do to one side you have to do to the other and because it's -7x - 2 it makes it a negative 2)

    so now youre left with -7x = 25 - 9x

    now your gonig to want to add the 9x from the right side to the left (same thing applys, what you do to one side you must do to the other)

    now you have 2x = 25,

    now your going to divided 25 by 2.

    and your answer is x = 12.5

  3. Add 7x to both sides --->  -2 = 24 -2x

    Subtract 24 from both sides -->-26 = -2x

    Divide by -2 -->x = 13

  4. -7x-2=24-9x

    add 9x to both sides

    2x-2=24

    add 2 to both sides

    2x=26

    divide both sides by 2

    x=13

    I hope this helped
