I need help with AIM. Please !

I like talking to people when I have an away message up. I USED to be able to put an away up, and then talk to people. But all of a sudden, my away disappears whenever I say something to someone. What do I do ??!!

Set your status to away, then when the window that shows your away message comes up, check the box that says allow me to send IMs while away.

my guess is they updated AIM (i have it too) so that u cant put up an away message while typing to someone. just put up ur away message when ur done chatting :)

Click your away message thing (looks like a yellow post-it on the main AIM).

When it shows you the box for your away msg, check the "Allow me to send IMs while away"

Then you can just x the away msg box and talk to people.

If you want to get rid of your away msg, just click the away msg button on the main AIM (the yellow post-it).
