  1. the easiest way to learn is just convert all your money to euro and forget about £

  2. 1 1/2 Euro to the pound.

or 2/3 pound to the Euro

  3. The best place to change your money into Euros is M&S

There rate at the moment is 1.42 whereas the post office is only 1.40

Garunteed* you have a mobile phone with a calculater on it..

If your not sure if anything is worth the money than get your phone out and divide the price with the amount you exchanged your money at and your get your £ value..

    Hope it helps

  4. Just forget about pounds altogether.  I presume you want to be able to mentally convert so u don't get ripped off, but believe me, you'll be ripped off everywhere, it can't be avoided, so all u need to do is practice saying euro & cent instead of pound & penny! don't waste ur time stressing over what it would cost in sterling. you have to pay it anyway.

  5. If you are moving there, it is pointless to be contsantly converting from € to £'s. Its simple, they are roughly 1.5 euros to the pound

  6. You will get about 142 euros to the pound., try a currency convertor you can use 1 on yahoo

  7. A euro is worth about 66 pence.  The easiest thing to do is to divide the euro price by 2 and then multipl by 3 to get the sterling equivalent. So if somethin is €15,

    divide 15 by 3 = 5

    an multiply 5 by 2 = £10

You'll get used to € very quickly and it makes travelling around Europe much easier

  8. I think first you need to learn how to say the currency. It’s EURO not EUROS.

It is 1 EURO or 10 EURO there is NO “s” at the end. Because the EURO is used in countries with different languages it was made that way. So it is always called EURO no matter how much. That’s why the 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 EURO notes say “EURO” and NOT “EUROS”

  9. Roughly, £1 is 1euro 60cent. I lived in Ireland for a year & got used to it pretty quick. Just remember it bl**dy expensive out there (although I had a 3bed for 650euro a mth which was a touch)

  10. i think you just need help haha sorry

  11. If your going to live in ireland then forget the pound.

You will only do your head in converting back and fourth

Most mobile phones have a currency conversion function in them, enter the conversion rate , save it and anytime you need to convert just use your mobile

    If €1 = £0.70p

    €250 = 250/0.70

  12. The best thing is to forget about the pound or you will get very confused

  13. Hi, Try  1divided by the exchange rate multiplied by the price of the item. That will give you the price of the item in £'s. Euros are around 1.4 euros to the £.   So it's 1 divided by 1.40 multiplied by say 7 euros =£4.99. It's easy honest.

  14. as a rule of thumb think of it as..

    £1 = 1.45e

    1e =  0.70p

it will fluctuate and the tourist rate will be less but as a rough guide it is ok

  15. 1 euro = about 70p
